Darwin: Origin of the HQ Holden

Author Norm Darwin has been released a great new book about the HQ-HJ Holden.

This is a must have publication for any self-respecting Aussie car buff.

As with Norm’s previous books, it is a comprehensive coverage of the development, production, trim, paint, options, accessories and brochures of the HQ and HJ range, including the Sandman, Statesman and Monaro.

The book is filled with many previously unpublished images and inside information, as the excepts show.

The cost is $60 for the soft cover and $140 for the limited edition hard cover.

Postage is an additional $18.

Here’s the link to Norm’s website, H@ND Publishing, where you can place an order.

The books are the work of Norm and wife Heather Darwin.

They source the information and images, write the content and create the layouts.

Expert technical help is obtained on each specialised topic from enthusiasts throughout Australia.

Norm and Heather and started H@ND Publishing in 2002 with the publication of 100 Years of GM in Australia.

Their other books are: Monaro Magic, Eclipse Ford, Torana Tough, Early Australia Automotive Design and the Holden HK HT HG story
