NISSAN has given its quirky Juke some cosmetic touches and added a trio of ‘myJuke’ personalisation packs to give the car more presence in the marketplace.
The updates on both the entry-grade ST and high-spec Ti-S comprise a darker chrome V-Motion grille, and headlights, taillights and indicators with a smoked finish.
Both models also get LED foglights, white lighting on the instruments, replacing orange from the previous series, and the ST gets a new premium graphite coloured cloth seat trim.
The Ti-S is also fitted with new 18-inch black-gloss alloy wheels and two more colours, arctic white and vivid blue, have been added to the now seven-strong palette.
There are three personalisation pack options for the Ti-S, including Power Blue, Energy Orange and Tokyo Glossy Black with highlights for the bumpers, alloy wheel inserts and mirror caps.
Inside, the centre console, side vent and door panel finishers, and meter hood stitching complement the exterior highlight colours.
“The Juke is very well appointed with some strong standard safety and other technical equipment, ” Nissan managing director Stephen Lester said.
“An assortment of subtle, stylish updates, give it a more contemporary, in look, while the personalisation pack options help the vehicle stand out from the crowd.”
The UK-built Juke has two engine and two transmission options: an 85kW/190Nm 1.2-litre turbo or a 1.6-litre turbo that lifts output to 140kW/ 240Nm.
Both grades are sold with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the Ti-S variant is also offered with the Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with manual mode mated to an AWD drivetrain.
The ST comes with halogen headlights, LED daylight running lights, three drive mode Nissan Dynamic Control System, auto door lock, auto off headlights, Bluetooth handsfree phone and audio streaming systems, USB connectivity and a leather accented steering wheel and shift knob.
It also features cruise control, climate control airconditioning, automatic door locks and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Traction Control and Vehicle Dynamic Control.
The range-topping Ti-S adds 18 inch black-gloss alloy wheels, auto-fold side mirrors, heated seats, intelligent key with push button engine start, 5.8-inch touchscreen display, satnav with traffic monitoring and digital radio.
Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning are also standard equipment on the Ti-S, as is a 360 degree Around-View Monitor with Moving Object Detection – one of the active safety technologies included as part of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM).
On sale from October 1, prices start from $23,490 plus on roads for the ST.
The Ti-S with manual shift is $30,140 and the one with CVT costs $33,840.
The Personalisation Pack increases Ti-S prices by $800.
