Model updates will bring more safety and equipment for the Skoda range later this year.
The upgrades apply Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq SUVs, as well as the Scala hatchback and Octavia sedan and wagon.
Safety updates mean that every model in the range will feature Side Assist with Rear Traffic alert as standard.
Kamiq gets Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert along with a power tailgate standard across the range, while premium sound will become optional (via the Travel Pack) for Monte Carlo.
Karoq adds Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert and Lane Assist standard across the two grades — Style and Sportline 4×4.
Karoq Style also gets a new Leather Seats Pack featuring black or ivory Comfort leather seats with power front adjustment and memory, auto-dimming foldable door mirrors, ambient lighting, front and rear LED reading lights and interior footwell lighting.
Kodiaq features Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, auto dimming exterior mirrors and power child locks, while Canton premium audio is standard on Kodiaq RS 4×4 and optional (via the Tech Pack) on Style 4×4 and Sportline 4×4.
Similarly to the Fabia’s extensive technology suite, Scala adds Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert across the range, while flagship Signature gets a power tailgate.
Octavia will feature Park Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, power child locks, auto dimming interior mirror and driver’s exterior mirror on Style and RS.
The Canton audio system also returns to Octavia RS with the optional Premium Pack.
As an option on Octavia Style, the separate Tech and Luxury packs will be bundled into a new, single Tech & Luxury Pack, with everything from both packs minus the previous head-up display and Dynamic Chassis Control.
While there are no technology changes for Fabia and Superb, the flagship Superb liftback and wagon will continue in Sportline 4×4 guise only.
Due in the fourth quarter of this year, pricing for the updated Skoda range will be announced shortly.
