Mini is taking personalisation to the next level.
Customers will be offered the opportunity of adding trim to their cars that they have designed themselves.
The innovative package will become available in the next 12 months for many models in Europe and other large markets.
The Mini Yours Customised product range will include indicator inlays known as side scuttles, trims for the passenger side in the interior, LED door sills and LED door projectors.
A new online shop has been setup to take orders while the individualised items will be manufactured using innovative processes such as 3D printing and laser lettering.
The advanced production process will permit precise implementation of customers’ wishes, with parts designed so they can be installed by the customer or by a participating Mini service partner.
The customer can do this more than once so that if the vehicle is later sold the individualised components can be exchanged.
