Latest Lambo a real flyer

Riley Riley

Look! It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! Wrong again, that’s a Lamborghini out there on the runway.

In fact, it’s a Huracán RWD, the latest in a series of cars that the Italian supercar maker has supplied to Bologna airport.

Decked out with light bar and an appropriate emergency paint job, the sixth in the series of “Follow Me” cars will be leading aircraft as they taxi across the runways of the Guglielmo Marconi Airport.

The Huracán RWD Follow-Me, with a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine and 532kW of power, sports a very special livery designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile.

The orange body features graphics depicting the typical machines manoeuvring in the airport areas, while the exterior is enhanced by the Italian flag on both doors, roof, front and rear intakes.

The vehicle is equipped with an orange light-bar on the roof; a radio, always connected with the control tower of the airport; and the distinctive stickers: “Follow me”.
