Grab yourself a bargain (or maybe not)

Riley Riley

You can grab a bargain when it comes to just about anything on Ebay, including cars.

But don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re all cheap, because some cost a bomb.

The most expensive car offered at the moment on the eBay Australia site is an Australian-delivered 1992 Rolls-Royce Corniche Series IV Convertible at $695,000.

Or perhaps you would fancy a gorgeous 1959 Porsche 356 Roadster with a price tag of $500,000.

A snip less is a 1990 25th Anniversary Lamborghini Countach at $495,000 or a 1988 Ferrari GTS for a bargain $145,000.

Then there’s a Honda latest very limited 2017 NSX sports car for $375,000.

“Too many options to mention but the true buyer will know all about this highly desirable vehicle,” says the listing.

It’s fun to look, even if you have no intention of buying a car.

The most expensive Holden at the moment is 1970 Indy Orange HG GTS Monaro which is going for a not insubstantial $195,000 — no offers please.

The most expensive Ford? A 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 in restored condition with matching numbers which will cost you even more at $230,000.

Perhaps you fancy a Chrysler of some description, maybe a 1972 Valiant RT Charger — “A super honest and rare RT Charger is the perfect colour combo and simply drives amazing!” — for a measley $130,000?

But for mine the cherry is this 1967 VW Karmann Ghia Cabriolet 1600 for $85,000 (I’ve always wanted one).

It wasn’t too long ago someone had a Delorean advertised — now that really would be something.

What would you buy if you had the chance?
