Hyundai has released some more images of the new, soon to be launched Santa Fe.
The exterior rendering highlights the new front and introduces a large honeycomb-style radiator grille that looks suspiciously like it has been lifted from Kia.
It’s complimented by a separate headlight system, featuring divided headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs).
The side rendering showcases the vehicle’s dynamic characteristics, with a simple yet sleek roof line and side character line that runs from the headlights to the tail lights, merging to form a harmonious look and feel.
The rear section features both a confident and stable stance with unique tail lights, dual mufflers, and a voluminous bumper design.
The new Santa Fe is set to make its world premiere in February, ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
The fourth generation model will offer a comprehensive package of the latest active safety features, under the banner of Smart Sense,.
Those features include an innovative and industry-first Rear Occupant Alert that monitors the rear seats to detect passengers and alerts the driver if someone remains when they are exiting the car.
The idea is to prevent children from accidentally being locked in cars.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning has been enhanced with an automated braking function.
To avoid the risk of collision when reversing out of narrow areas with limited visibility, the system warns the driver and applies the brakes automatically.
The first Santa Fe, released in 2001, spearheaded the company’s revival, particularly in the United States where the car was a best seller.
It wasn’t until the second generation in 2007 however that the car really started to gain some traction here.
The current model was launched in in 2013.
The new Santa Fe will be launched in Australia around the middle of this year.
