Delvene was a heart breaker

Delvene Delaney needs no introduction to any red-blooded male who grew up in Australia in the 1970s.

The curvaceous beauty pageant winner found fame on Australian television in the 70s, getting her start as a weather girl on Brisbane television.

She followed this with roles in soap operas The Box as Penny O’Brien in 1974 and The Young Doctors as nurse Jojo Adams from 1976 to 1977.

But it was as a member of the cast of The Paul Hogan Show that she found fame in the late 1970s.

She was also a regular on the game show Blankety Blanks and co-presenter of the quiz show Sale of the Century from 1982 to 1986.

Delaney married Hogan Show co-star John “Strop” Cornell and have two children, Allira, a photographer, and Liana who is also a model and actress.

She and Cornell have live on a rambling property at Byron Bay in NSW, along with her parents, friends and relatives.

In 1990, the couple built the Beach Hotel at Byron Bay for $9 million.

In 2007, The ‘Beachie’ sold for a cool $65 million.

Born in 1951, any recent photos of Delvene, now 66, are what you might call hard to find.
