Black back for Eclipse Cross

Riley Riley

The Black Edition is to become a permanent part of Mitsubishi’s Eclipse-Cross lineup.

Based on the LS grade, it’s powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine and CVT-style continuously variable automatic transmission, with drive to the front wheels.

With outputs of 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque, Black Edition is equipped with styling enhancements as well as specification upgrades usually reserved for higher grades.

Exterior enhancements include a black finish for the 18-inch alloy wheels, door mirrors and front and rear skid plates.

Inside, the black theme continues on the touchscreen surround, dimple leather steering wheel and interior headlining and pillar trims.

Other extra features above the standard LS include with synthetic leather and micro-suede seat trim, dark silver garnishes on the instrument panel, centre console sides and door grips, four-way power adjustable driver’s seat, PVC leather inserts to the front and rear door trim and heated front seats.

There’s also blind spot monitoring, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert, along with Type-A and Type-C USB power sockets mounted in rear console.

Black Edition is priced from $35,990 — and as well as black, it’s available in white, red and titanium.
