You can drive the Tasman ute away

In case you missed it, Kia is offering driveaway deals on its new Tasman dual cab Ute.

Prices start from $46,490 driveaway, for the 4×2 S with steel wheels — dare we say workhorse of the range.

Though steel, the wheels are finished in black by the way.

The rest of the range is 4×4, topping out at $77,990 driveaway for X-Pro.

The latter boasts 17 inch black alloys with all-terrain rubber, a locking, electronic locking diff, different drive modes for different terrains, heated and cooled seats, Harman Kardon sound plus a sunroof.

All grades are powered by the same a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel linked to an eight-speed auto that delivers 154kW of power and 440Nm of torque.

Kia’s Damien Meredith said the Tasman is by far Kia Australia’s most anticipated model yet, reflecting the scale of Australia’s ute market and the passion of these owners.

“We are confident the input from Kia Australia at each stage of its development, along with its competitive value and versatility, will make it a very strong contender in the local market,” he said.

The dual cab pick-up will be joined by a Dual Cab Chassis followed by the Single Cab Chassis in late 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

All Tasmans have a payload that exceeds 1000kg, while the dual cab pick-up will also be available with a reduced payload to qualify for a novated lease.

Braked towing is an industry-standard 3500kg.

Measuring 1512mm in length, 1572mm wide and 540mm deep, the pic-up’s tub will accommodate an Australian-sized pallet.
