What is the most powerful hypercar in the world?

Hint, it’s not a Ferrari and it depends on what you include or exclude, but this is the short list.

Why are we asking? Because Hennessey has just claimed the title of the world’s most powerful “manual” hypercar with is updated Hennessey Venom F5‑M Evolution.

Only 12 F5-M Roadsters will be built, priced from US $2.65 million.

The new model features new chassis, unique aerodynamics, bespoke interior, and distinctive 55-inch dorsal fin.

The Venom F5-M makes its global debut in the Goodwood ‘Supercar Paddock’ where it will treat the crowds to the sound of its twin-turbo V8 engine thundering up the Goodwood Hill twice daily throughout the four-day festival which gets underway this weekend. 

While the Venom may be the most powerful “manual” hyper or supercar in the world, the top honour goes to a battery electric vehicle however.

Wer’re talking about the Austrian-built Tushek Aeon V with 1840kW of power and a blink and you miss it 0-100km/h time of just 1.8 seconds.

It’s followed by the hybrid petrol-electric Koenigsegg Gemera, with 1700kW from its hybrid V8 system.

Then there’s the fully-electric Rimac Nevera R, with 1550kW.

And finally, in fourth position, sits the Hennessey Venom F5‑M (M for manual) with 1355kW (the auto ups this to 1515kW).

Needless to say they’re all extremely quick cars. Here’s a rundown of the essential specs:

1. Tushek Aeon E (BEV)
