Toyota’s bZ4X Touring model comes with a bigger boot and bigger price tag.
The new Touring grade joins the existing bZ4X fully-electric range which was recently upgraded with improvements to driving range, power output and specification — all while providing even greater value to customers.
It’s priced from $69,990 plus on-road costs.
The key difference is that it is longer, with an additional 140mm behind the rear axle, which along with a more upright tailgate helps to increase luggage volume from 452 to 603 litres.
bZ4X Touring is powered by a pair of 167kW electric motors, which produce a total system output of 280kW, catapulting the EV from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
The new lithium-ion 74.7kWh battery delivers 488km of driving range on the WLTP cycle, and supports both 150kW CCS2 DC charging and 22kW three-phase AC charging for easy top-ups at home.
Touring adds unique 20-inch black alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, ladder-style roof rails, resin black wheel arches and bonnet insert, and a rear window wiper.
Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, eight-way powered front seats with heating and cooling, digital rear-view mirror, fixed panoramic roof, two wireless smartphone chargers, 1500W inverter and a 14.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system with nine-speaker JBL premium audio.
Six metallic and pearlescent paint colours are available across the bZ4X Touring range including the newly introduced Daylight Bronze metallic.
All six colours can be paired with either black or the new Touring-exclusive khaki synthetic leather upholstery.
bZ4X is priced from $55,990 for the 2WD, $67,990 for the AWD and $69,990 for the Touring.
