Suzuki has updated its popular Swift hatchback.
The Series II Swift is priced from an introductory price of just $18,990 driveaway.
With up to $2000 in added features, Suzuki reckons the Swift represents one of the best value propositions in the light car segment.
A digital speedo has been added, along with auto up windows and rear speakers on the entry GL Navigator.
GL Navigator Plus and GLX Turbo acquire blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, heated door mirrors and reverse parking sensors.
Blind spot monitoring detects vehicles in or approaching the rear blind spots on either side of the vehicle by illuminating a warning LED icon in the relevant exterior mirror.
Rear cross traffic alert uses two rear mounted side radar sensors to alert the driver of approaching vehicles on either side of the vehicle when reversing out of car park spaces.
Exterior changes include new front bumper and grille, and new look alloys.
GL Navigator and Navigator Plus retain a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four cylinder engine, with 66kW/120Nm while the Turbo as its name suggests gets a 1.0-litre three cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 82kW and 160Nm.
New Swift Series II comes with a comprehensive 5 year unlimited kilometre factory warranty, as well as capped price servicing — 12month/15,000km for the first two, and 12 month/10,000km for the turbo.
Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Michael Pachota, said: “The launch of the new Suzuki Swift is a milestone for the light car segment, offering class leading value, advanced safety technology and a fun ride at a competitive price point.”
