No, the Period Correct SUPER73-S1 is not a vintage motorcycle re-invented as an electric one — despite the name.

Period Correct is in fact a lifestyle brand and community, inspired by motorsports heritage and automotive design.

SUPER73 on the other hand is an American lifestyle adventure brand based in Orange County, California that develops products to help fuse motorcycle heritage with youth culture.

Founded in 2016, it has has quickly grown into one of the most recognisable electric vehicle brands in the world with a passionate customer base including A-list celebrities, professional athletes, and many more.

Founder of Period Correct, Bryan Calvero, has been a fan and customer of SUPER73 for years.

He was introduced to electric motorbikes at his partner’s home, but also uses them at race tracks to roam the pits and paddock area.

“With my familiarisation, the collaboration with SUPER73 was very organic for me,” he said.

“I drew inspiration from my passion for early BMW tuning specialists, and the Period Correct x SUPER73-S1 is an homage to the heyday of the German tuning houses.”

The two Southern California design teams got together to capture the essence of Bryan’s inspiration for the Period Correct x SUPER73-S1.

It began with the custom-painted deep blue frame, fenders and battery.

The battery and frame also carry the Period Correct logo in silver, while the seat is upholstered in a durable fabric with contrasting blue and green graphics.

Additional custom items include Northshore lock-on grips from Lizard Skins, as well as a set of Rascal pedals from Origin8 to improve the S1’s pedal-assist riding modes, and offer the rider even more control.

Like all SUPER73-S1 models, the collaborative S1 features a removable 768 watt-hour battery, which can be charged from any standard 110v outlet, resulting in an estimated range of more than 40km under throttle-only operation at 30km/h, and in excess of 60km using ECO pedal assist mode.

The Period Correct x SUPER73-S1 is limited to 15 units, which will be available exclusively from Period Correct at PeriodCorrect.com.
