Cupra’s first fully electric SUV is set to arrive here in December (in time for Christmas).
At launch, Tavascan will be available in 250kW VZ dual-motor all-wheel and 210kW Endurance rear-drive configurations.
Designed and developed in Barcelona, Tavascan is produced at the Volkswagen Group’s Anhui factory in China, a state-of-the-art innovation hub for e-mobility.
Benefitting from an advanced homologation timeline and closer proximity to its production base, Tavascan will be delivered to Australian customers from early December, in-line with European delivery dates.
Cupra’s Ben Wilks said the Tavascan SUV is a milestone on the brand’s battery electrification journey, which commenced with the Born hatchback in 2023.
“The Tavascan takes Cupra’s BEV offer into the SUV segment with a vehicle that’s designed to be dramatic and emotional from the ground up,” he said.
“With its progressive and emotional approach to the SUV coupe segment, head-turning exterior lighting, a uniquely-CUPRA interior, and an all-new immersive sound system from Sennheiser, the Tavascan elevates the all-electric SUV coupe to new heights.
“Boasting impressive performance figures and dynamic driving experience, it’s every bit as great behind the wheel as it is to look at.”
