Lexus has added a special Crafted edition of its mid-sized RX SUV.
Based on the Luxury grade and available with all three powertrains, the RX Crafted makes a visual impact with striking black coating for its 20-inch alloys and black accents for the grille, fog light bezels, mirror caps and rear bumper.
Other goodies include a moonroof and features normally reserved for higher grades: colour head-up display, 12.3-inch infotainment screen and premium 15-Speaker Mark Levinson audio with Clari-Fi technology.
Only 300 of the special-edition models will be offered for an additional $7100 above the cost of Luxury grades.
The five-seat Lexus RX Crafted will be available with the RX 300 turbo, RX 350 V6 petrol and RX 450h self-charging hybrid electric powertrains.
Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson said the price step for the Lexus RX Crafted was about half-way to the F Sport variants that already offer many of the special-edition features as standard.
“The additional luxury and value of the stylish Lexus RX Crafted will attract a wider audience to a vehicle noted for its practicality, convenience, spaciousness and easy manoeuvrability,” he said.
