5) Prey
Imagine a derelict facility deep in space where you are alone and constantly hunted by aliens with a skill for camouflage and disguise. This is what you get in Prey, an adventure game that challenges you to be resourceful and always on the move, as you’re stalked by some decidedly nasty critters. Prey was a winner in 2017, as it featured some mind-numbingly clever level designs and a menagerie of mean aliens. On top of this the backstory is full of twists and there are some terrific puzzles too.
