8) NieR Automata
For those who crave something unique and at times artistic, we recommend NieR Automata. The game is a futuristic shoot ’em up, but the narrative could have easily been written by Phillip K Dick, in that it explores themes about artificial intelligence and how robots might want to create their own societies outside of humankind. On top of this you get some massive robotic bosses to blast and plenty of cool technology upgrades to experiment with. We love a game that is so determined to be different, while also being a bucket full of fun.
