Australia’s cheapest EV just got cheaper with a driveaway deal on the BYD Atto 1.
The entry Atto 1 Essential, until now $23,990 plus on-road costs, is now available from just $19,990 driveaway — and that’s nationwide.
The better equipped Atto 1 Premium remains $27,990 plus on-roads.
Both come with a five-star safety rating.
Essential with 65kW and 175Nm has a 30 kWh battery and delivers 220km of range.
Premium puts out 115kW of power and 220Nm of torque, and with a larger 43.2 kWh battery is good for 310km — both figures under the WLTP testing regime.
DC fast charging from 10-80 per cent takes 30 minutes, enabling quick and convenient top-ups at home or on the go, making the Atto 1 well-suited to city lifestyles.
Both variants feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, synthetic leather seats, and generous boot space, along with six airbags, a 360 degree camera, and BYD’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
BYD’s Stephen Collins said the offer reflects BYD’s commitment to accelerate the transition to cleaner mobility while making the benefits of its acclaimed EV technology accessible to as many Australians as possible.
“At a time when Australian families are carefully considering every household expense, we’re committed to making vehicle ownership more attainable,” he said.
“The BYD ATTO 1 at $19,990 driveaway demonstrates our commitment to delivering outstanding value without compromising on technology, safety or quality.”
