BMW cuts price of M4 CS

BMW has cut the price of the new M4 CS by $22,000.

The new price, $189,900, will apply to both new customers and those who have already ordered the hero of the M4 range.

“We have been working hard behind the scenes to deliver strong pricing for our M vehicles,” BMW Group Australia CEO, Marc Werner, said.

“By introducing the M4 Pure local editions, we have made this core M car more accessible than ever.

“In addition, internal and customer feedback has allowed us to re-examine the flagship M4 CS pricing. The result is a new price point of $189,900, and is available to customers who have pre-ordered a CS, as well as those planning to purchase in the future.

“This new M pricing structure is a sensational early Christmas present for BMW M customers,” Werner said.

The BMW M4 CS is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six which made its debut in the current-generation M4 range.

Changes in the engine’s electronic management system has led to a 7kW power increase over the M4 Competition, with 338kW available at 6250 revs.

Peak torque has been bumped up by 50Nm to around 600Nm, available betweeb 4000 and 5380 revs – a match for the legendary M4 GTS.

Equipped with the M Driver’s Package as standard, the BMW M4 CS does the dash from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds while top speed is electronically-limited to 280km/h.

Fuel consumption is a claimed 8.4L/100km.

BMW Australia has also taken this opportunity to streamline the BMW M4 range:

BMW M4 Coupe range pricing:

BMW M4 Pure $139,900
BMW M4 Competition $156,710
BMW M4 CS pricing $189,900
